Greater Regional Health Internship
My internship at Greater Regional Health was a pivotal experience in my growth as a graphic designer. Under the guidance of skilled mentors, I gained hands-on experience that significantly enhanced my design skills and broadened my understanding of effective communication within both the healthcare industry and the graphic design world. The supportive environment allowed me to refine my creative process, learn new tools, and tackle real-world design challenges.
During my time there, I worked on a variety of projects that showcased my ability to adapt and deliver quality work. I designed brochures for their four medical clinics and dermatology department, created exam room and sports physical flyers, and produced social media posts and digital billboard signage. I also took on larger projects, such as updating Greater Regional Health’s company documents, including their Code of Conduct booklet, and the door wrap for the birthing center, as well as designing a t-shirt for Breastfeeding Awareness Month for the hospital’s nurses. Additionally, I served as a photographer, capturing events sponsored by Greater Regional Health. I was also tasked with updating the exterior photos for each of their four medical clinics. This experience not only solidified my design skills but also taught me the importance of visual communication in healthcare, ultimately preparing me for future roles in the field of graphic design.
